Clean-Up Week, Berwick - May 12-16

As Clean-Up Week approaches, please follow these key guidelines:

Town Clean-up is not managed by the Town of Berwick, but by Valley Resouce Management 1-877-927-8300 or 902-679-1325 Their Hotline is open from 8:30am-4:30pm (Monday- Friday) except for statutory holidays.

Please have your items curbside by 7:00 am on Monday and leave them out for the week.  The truck will collect your items one time during that week. There is no specific day.

Limit: Max 20 items per stop. Items must be under 1.2m (4ft) and within weight limits (200 lbs for furniture/appliances, 75 lbs for others).

Bagging: Use clear bags only—no cardboard boxes.

Appliances: Max 2 of the same type. Refrigeration units need CFC removal & sticker (drop-off available for $20).

Lumber: Must be bundled or bagged (nails removed or bent).

Uncollected Items: Must be removed from curb after your Clean-Up week.

Not Accepted: HHW, electronics, cardboard, recycling, yard waste, tires, or batteries. Full details at www.vwrm.com. Let’s keep Berwick clean!

Leaf & Brush Collection - Is managed by the Town of Berwick 902-538-8068

The Town offers a brush and leaf collection service twice a year, in both spring and fall. Notifications about collection dates will be posted on the Town's website, social media platforms, and on the Town's calendar of events.

To participate, please note the following guidelines:

• Brush and sticks must be cut into 4-foot lengths.
• Only paper leaf bags will be collected to support environmentally friendly practices. Plastic bags will not be accepted.

Collection Dates:

• Spring Brush Pickup: May 1st to May 15th.
