Skilled Labourer - Department: Public Works
The Town of Berwick is currently accepting applications for the position of Skilled Labourer within the Public Works Department. Rate of Pay: $26.61 per hour plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Road, sidewalk, and streetscape maintenance
Landscaping, mowing, brush cutting, tree trimming, and vegetation management
Snow and ice control operations
Traffic line painting and signage maintenance
Sewer and storm system maintenance
Operation of loaders, trucks, plows, sidewalk machines, chainsaws, and related equipment
General maintenance of Town facilities and infrastructure
Participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours and emergency response
Qualifications:
High school completion or equivalent
Valid Nova Scotia Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
The following would be considered assets:
Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement
Experience in carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, or related trades
Experience operating municipal or heavy equipment
