Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Crossing Guard to ensure the safety of pedestrians, especially children, at designated crosswalks within the Town of Berwick. This role is vital in promoting safe travel for students and community members. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to manage traffic effectively.

Prior experience with safety standards such as OSHA, First Aid, CPR, and compliance management is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to serve the community while maintaining a safe environment for our future generation.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist children and pedestrians in crossing streets at designated crosswalks during school hours.
• Monitor traffic flow and communicate effectively with drivers and pedestrians to prevent accidents.
• Maintain visibility and alertness at all times to ensure ongoing safety of pedestrians and motorists.
• Document incidents or safety concerns as required, adhering to compliance management protocols.
• Communicate clearly with staff, parents, and community members regarding safety procedures and concerns.
• Respond to emergency situations by administering First Aid or CPR when necessary.
