Now Hiring: Wastewater Operator, Class II
Location: Berwick, NS
Hours: 35 hours/week, Monday–Friday

The Town of Berwick, is hiring a Wastewater Operator, Class IIis responsible for the Operation,Maintenance, and Overall Direct Responsible Charge of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System.

About the Role:
The Museum Manager will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations, assisting with historical displays, engaging with the public, and helping to plan fundraising and community initiatives. This is a hands-on role that combines leadership, creativity, and a love of local heritage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset and Inventory Management

  • Operation of Treatment and Collection Facilities and Equipment

  • Preventative Maintenance and Repairs

  • Emergency and ‘On-Call’ Responsibilities

  • Sample Collection (Well Water, Wastewater) 

  • Other Position Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For:

  • Self-motivated, organized, and reliable

  • Nova Scotia ClassII Certification in Wastewater Collection and Treatment

  • High school completion or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years experiencein Wastewater Treatment

  • Proficiency with SCADA for data acquisition and alarms;

  • Problem solving and decision-making skills;

  • Strong written, communication and computer skills;

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and in a team environment;

  • Valid NS Driver’s License, Class 5
