2025/26 Budget
How did we get here?
Berwick initiated the 2025-26 budget process in December 2024, reviewing preliminary budget data and collaborating with all departments to gain a clear understanding of operational needs and requirements.
Every Council and Committee of the Whole meeting from January 15 to March 25 allows Council to discuss, seek clarification, and provide direction to staff to move the operating and capital budgets forward for approval.
Until the budget is formally approved by Council, the highlights outlined below are subject to change based on Council discussions, guidance, and any adjustments to underlying assumptions.
As a reminder, property assessments are set by Property Valuation Services Corporation (PVSC). Property owners should be receiving their assessment notices in early January 2025. Please contact PVSC (https://www.pvsc.ca) if you have any questions about your assessment. The appeal deadline was February 13, 2025.
