Solar Installations

  1. Consult a Renewable Energy Installer: Begin by speaking with a renewable energy installer. You can find a list of qualified installers in the Preferred Partner Directory provided by Efficiency Nova Scotia.
  2. Discuss Options and Design: Your chosen installer will review the available options and work with you to design a system tailored to your specific needs.
  3. Submit Plans for Review: Once the design is finalized, your installer will submit the electrical plans to the Berwick Electric Commission for review and approval. Once accepted the installer is required to pull a permit before installation can begin
  4. Begin Installation: After the plans are accepted, the installer will proceed with the installation of your system.
  5. Conduct On-Site Inspections: During the installation process, your installer will arrange for the necessary on-site electrical inspections, including rough-in and final inspections.
  6. Energize the System: Following successful inspections and acceptance of the electrical installation, your installer will energize the system.
  7. System Operational: Your system is now fully operational.
