Berwick Electric Commission Grant

Low-income customers of Berwick Electric Commission will be able to access a one-time grant for electricity costs, thanks to a generous donation.

Berwick, Nova Scotia

The Town of Berwick is announcing a new grant program for low-income customers of the Berwick Electric Commission. A generous donation was received from the community that will allow customers to apply for a one-time grant, applied directly to their utility bill.

“At a time of year where many struggle to make ends meet, this grant will enable customers of the electric utility to receive some much-needed assistance. Our goal is to help alleviate the burden of high energy bills and ensure that our customers can stay warm and comfortable in their homes during the colder months. We are appreciative of the private donation that made this grant a possibility, their kindness and generosity will make a real difference to customers of the Berwick Electric Commission.” – Mayor Don Clarke

Full details on the grant program will be included in utility customer’s January/February bills, with applications opening in the new year.
