Calling all Community Members! Come join us at Spicer Park on November 2 at 2pm or 6pm to talk about playground equipment!

Overview of Project:
Spicer Park will be undergoing an upgrade to ensure safety of playground equipment. We are looking to purchase and install an accessible playground feature that serves ages 5-12 years old. With this revitalization, it will provide the community with a renewed sense of fun physical activity and a safe area for all children to play.
With a budget of $25,000, we are removing the current play structure due to safety concerns, then resurfacing the existing playground area so it is more accessible and durable, and purchasing a piece of playground equipment for all to enjoy. We will be releasing a tender after the consultation has taken place to begin the project.

Why are we engaging?
We would like to create an opportunity for open communication to better inform the community of projects that are ongoing and to hear your input as this impacts your community directly.
We are inviting everyone in the community, to join us in the park on November 2nd to discuss what playground equipment they would like to see in the park. There will be two sessions: the first will be at 2:00pm, and the second will be at 6:00pm. Coffee and muffins will be provided.
