Berwick Wetland Trail Proposed

Big news! Berwick is the proposed location of a beautiful wetland trail! The Berwick Marsh Trail Project would be a beneficial feature located along the Cornwallis River (traditionally named the Jijuktu'kwejk River), subject to the approval of all parties involved. The potential wetland would be designed to help clean wastewater using natural processes. It might look something like the Ducks Unlimited projects at Miners Marsh in Kentville, or the Frenchman Basin Trail in Annapolis Royal!

Our friends at the Jijuktu'kwejk Watershed Alliance are raising money to pay for the design and engineering plan to help make this vision possible. They are selling raffle tickets, and you could win a canoe! The prize is a 16’ Nova Craft Prospector Fibreglass in Oxblood Red from Old Creel Canoe and Kayak in Waverly, Nova Scotia
